CMI Working Group (P1484.11) wishes to put to vote a technical detail
related to 
APIComm2.doc 


The vote will be to choose either one of the two options below:

 1) Leave error handling unchanged from current documentation.
 2) Change error handling to include an error report with each call.

This message is a formal ballot. Please vote  "1", "2", or,"Abstain".
The ballot closes at 1999-10-05 23:00 UTC (7PM EST, 4PM PST, midnight GMT).

A list of eligible voters is appended to the end of this notification. Send
your vote as e-mail to Kris Sundaram (mailto:sundram@hotmail.com)  who will
receive the votes and tally them and announce the results. An e-mail letter
invitation to vote will be  forwarded to each eligible voter individually,
together with a link to this notification. Please acknowledge the receipt
of the ballot notification as it is important for the letter ballot process
to ensure that every eligible voter receives the notification in time;
eligible voters who neither send in a vote, nor acknowledge receipt of the
ballot notification count as negative votes! A similar invitation will also
be sent to all LTSC Chairs soliciting their response.

Questions and clarifications regarding the letter ballot process may be sent
to Kris Sundaram.  Technical  comments pertaining to  the topic of the ballot
may also be included along with the vote; they will be forwarded to Jack Hyde,
(mailto:Jackie.Hyde@PSS.Boeing.com), Chair, CMI Working Group, for response
and appropriate follow-up action.

Comments on the topic of the ballot are also welcome from members of the CMI
Working Group who are invited to post their comments to the CMI Discussion
List.
